Empire Auto Collection, located in Warren in Macomb County, has this elegant white four-door sedan ready for its next owner — a low-mileage luxury entry that delivers the full Mercedes-Benz experience without the new-car price tag.

About This 2022 Mercedes-Benz A-Class A 220 4MATIC Sedan

With just 50,551 miles on the odometer, this 2022 Mercedes-Benz A-Class sits comfortably in that sweet spot for used luxury car buyers — well past the initial depreciation curve, yet still young enough to offer years of reliable, warranty-eligible driving ahead. The crisp white exterior gives it a clean, modern presence that turns heads without being ostentatious. Whether you're commuting across Macomb County or pulling up to a client meeting downtown Detroit, this A-Class makes exactly the right impression.

The A 220 4MATIC is the all-wheel-drive variant of Mercedes-Benz's entry-level luxury sedan, and it represents a genuinely refined driving machine — not just a badge. For buyers in the Metro Detroit area who deal with Michigan winters, the 4MATIC system is a meaningful advantage, not just a spec sheet checkbox.

2022 Mercedes-Benz A-Class Performance and Engine

Under the hood, this A-Class is powered by a turbocharged 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine paired with a 7-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission — Mercedes-Benz's 7G-DCT unit. This combination is engineered to deliver quick, smooth gear changes that feel nearly seamless in everyday driving, while the turbo four provides responsive acceleration well suited to highway merging and urban traffic alike.

The 4MATIC all-wheel-drive system continuously monitors traction conditions and distributes torque between the front and rear axles as needed. For Michigan drivers facing slick roads, light snow, or wet highways, this drivetrain gives real peace of mind. The A-Class rides on a compact but sporty platform, making it nimble in tight city environments while still feeling planted and confident at highway speeds.

2022 Mercedes-Benz A-Class Features and Interior

The A 220 trim level brings a cabin that genuinely reflects Mercedes-Benz's design philosophy — refined materials, thoughtful ergonomics, and technology that feels intuitive rather than gimmicky. The MBUX infotainment system, standard on this generation of A-Class, features voice control with the now-iconic "Hey Mercedes" activation, a high-resolution touchscreen display, and smartphone integration through Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.

Dual digital displays — one for the instrument cluster and one for the central screen — create a widescreen cockpit effect that rivals far more expensive vehicles. Interior quality is a genuine step above most competitors at this price point, with soft-touch surfaces, well-bolstered seats, and ambient lighting that elevates the everyday driving experience. The A-Class may be Mercedes-Benz's entry-level sedan, but there's nothing entry-level about how it feels from the driver's seat.

Mercedes-Benz A-Class Reliability and Ownership

The 2022 Mercedes-Benz A-Class benefits from a significant generational improvement in reliability compared to earlier iterations of the model. The current W177 platform, launched in North America for the 2019 model year, matured considerably by 2022, with software and mechanical refinements addressing earlier teething issues. Owners consistently praise the MBUX system's responsiveness, the quality of the ride comfort, and the overall feel of solidity that the A-Class delivers.

As with any European luxury vehicle, staying current with scheduled maintenance is important. Oil changes, brake fluid intervals, and tire rotations on a proper schedule go a long way toward keeping this car running smoothly for well over 100,000 miles. The 2022 model year also benefits from improved long-term parts availability, and Mercedes-Benz's service network is well-represented across the Metro Detroit region. Buyers coming from mainstream brands are often pleasantly surprised by how manageable ownership costs are on a well-maintained A-Class.
